WHO WILL WIN THE 2019 RIOT ON THE RIVER SERIES?

With the 2019 RIOT on the River series just a few days away, the question has to be asked…”Who will win this year’s prestigious tournament? All of this year’s eight competitors have something to prove in this year’s tournament. Let’s take a brief look at the field.

Outtkast – A Dynamo Pro Wrestling “Original”, Outtkast has held singles and tag team championships. A past RIOT on the River tournament entrant, winning the RIOT on the River championship would prove that Outtkast remains one of the best in Dynamo Pro Wrestling and deserving consideration for immediate championship opportunities.

“The Snitch” – The reigning RIOT on the River, “The Snitch” has used last year’s victory to propel himself to many high-profile matchups throughout the Midwest. “The Snitch” has also stated that there is nothing that will stop him from repeating as RIOT on the River champion.

“The Heartthrob” Jaden – By being a former Gateway Harley-Davidson champion, Jaden has proven what it takes to win championship gold already in 2019. He would love the opportunity to walk out of Grafton, Illinois with another major Dynamo Pro Wrestling championship in his possession.

Ace Hawkins – This Dynamo Pro Wrestling competitor is a former multi-time Missouri Wrestling Revival Missouri state championship. He has defended that championship against some of the best competition throughout the country. If Ace is able to “set the pace”, it is a strong possibility that he could win this year’s tournament.

“Mr. Extraordinary” Benjamin Trust – In last year’s RIOT on the River tournament, “Mr. Extraordinary” had a great showing, losing in the semi-final round. Hailing from Alton, Illinois, Benjamin Trust definitely has a hometown advantage in the tournament.

“Lights Out” Adrian Surge – The first RIOT on the River tournament winner back in 2017, Surge has taken his past tournament victory to win the Dynamo Pro Wrestling heavyweight championship on two occasions. While the reigning Dynamo Pro Wrestling heavyweight champion has been defending the championship at a record pace, many fans are wondering how long he can keep it up. Winning the RIOT on the River tournament would be a great way for the champion to regain his momentum heading into the last few months of 2019.

C.J. Shine – In the last nine months, C.J. Shine has been on a huge wave of momentum in Dynamo Pro Wrestling. A former Dynamo Pro Wrestling heavyweight champion and the reigning Gateway Harley Davidson champion, C.J. Shine has a lot to offer fans in this year’s tournament.

Mike Outlaw – Over the last five years, Mike Outlaw has been one of the most consistent wrestlers in Dynamo Pro Wrestling. A former Dynamo Pro Wrestling heavyweight and D-1 champion, Outlaw lost in the finals of last year’s RIOT on the River tournament. With his recent change in attitude, Mike Outlaw has all of the tools to win this year’s tournament.

Since the announcement of this year’s RIOT on the River tournament field, many members of the media have made their predictions as to who can call themselves RIOT on the River champion.

T.J. Everhart – Co-Host of the Body Slammed! podcast

After the events of “August Heatwave” last week, I feel that Mike Outlaw has the edge in the 2019 RIOT on the River tournament. With his new attitude, Outlaw is going to have extra motivation that will drive him to winning this year’s RIOT championship.

Steven Lucas – St. Louis Wrestling Community

Out of the eight in this year’s field, I think Mike Outlaw will win.

Joe Lance – Co-Host of the Wrestle Talk Podcast with Joe and Rene

I am 100% certain that Mike Outlaw will win. He has always been one of my favorites and always seems to be “clutch” in big matches.

Jeremy Karp – Host of the Interstate 70 Sports podcast

When someone has a flame sparked inside of them, it brings out the best. It makes them feel unstoppable. I see Outlaw winning because of the pure dominance and momentum inside of him.

Robert Hickman – Host of the Breaking Fabe podcast

I feel that the tournament will come down to a hard-fought finals of Adrian Surge and Mike Outlaw. At the end of the match, the “electricity” runs on and Mike Outlaw takes the win.

Franklin Everhart – Co-Host of the Body Slammed! podcast

I’m going with Benjamin Trust because it’s time for “Mr. Extraordinary” to show the world that there is no defense for any of the devastating “United States of Slam”!

Rene Martinez – Co-Host of the Wrestle Talk Podcast with Joe and Rene

The winner will be Mike Outlaw. Mike is long-time member of the Dynamo Pro roster and has recently been making an impact all over the Midwest. He is one of the most experience guys on the roster and likely the most physically gifted in the group.

Brandon Shaw – Co-Host of The Brothers on Whatever podcast

In this tournament, there are many great competitors. However, there is only one that stands out as a true wrestler. A wrestler that will do whatever it takes to win, even if it means his body will pay the price. If you were at The Ready Room and witnessed his flip of the top rope onto his opponent who was laying on the concrete floor, you already know…Outtkast will outlast!

Dave Ungar – Host of the Attitude of Aggression podcast

I will go with Benjamin Trust. The guy is in phenomenal shape and seems on the precipice of a breakthrough. What better place to make a statement than the RIOT on the River. Time for “Mr. Extraordinary” to do something extraordinary. Truthfully, any of the eight guys can win, but I have to go with Ben here.

Nicholas Lopez – Host of the Intermission podcast

Although Adrian Surge stands out as a favorite since he has held the Dynamo Pro Wrestling heavyweight championship since his 2017 tournament win. I have an opinion that will not be popular. I have to side with “The Snitch” on this one. If I know anything about history, it’s that it repeats itself in some way, shape, or form. We’ll have to get used to “The Snitch” being a two-time RIOT on the River winner. I just feel it coming.

Brian Kelley – Missouri Wrestling Revival

A great list of competitors, I will go with “The Heartthrob” Jaden to win the 2019 RIOT on the River tournament, with Mike Outlaw a close second. Jaden is primed for a huge win in the area.

Larry Nickel – “St. Louis Wrestling Insider” on The Morning After

I think that Outtkast will win the 2019 RIOT on the River tournament because he hasn’t held any gold since the D-1 championship. He will defeat “The Snitch” in the finals.

Nathan Shaw – Co-Host of The Brothers on Whatever podcast

Mike Outlaw will summon the help of one of Grafton’s well-known ghosts, pirate Jean LaFitte. Together, they will bring Outlaw back to Dynamo Pro championship form. All kidding aside, the one thing I know for certain is, at the end of the night, Mike Outlaw stands alone with the RIOT on the River title.

One thing is for certain, the 2019 RIOT on the River tournament will once again be a great night of professional wrestling action featuring some of the greatest professional wrestlers in the world.
